ALL OUR SONS

A PLAY BY WITI IHIMAERA

PRESENTED BY TAKI RUA PRODUCTIONS

We are looking for funding support to help Taki Rua Productions stage a 3 city tour of All Our Sons by Witi Ihimaera to Wellington, Taranaki and Auckland in May - June 2018.

All Our Sons tells the story of the Māori Pioneer Battalion and its story in Gallipoli and the Western Front alongside the political ramifications of Māori attending the world war and the sacrifice of their sons lives for 'the price of NZ Citizenship'.

The production was staged in Wellington at Circa Theatre in November 2015, and was nominated for 8 Wellington Theatre awards, winning 6 awards including Production of the year, Most Original Production, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Lighting and Best Sound. The Māori Pioneer Battalion story has not been commemorated in a play of this nature during the WWI commemorations, and we are looking for funding support to help Taki Rua tour this production to Circa Theatre in Wellington, Theatre Royal in Taranaki and the Aotea Centre in Auckland with Auckland Live.

Please contact Tānemahuta Gray if you wish to support this venture to tour nationally between May - June 2018.
