Open to: Current Diploma in Goldsmithing & Jewellery students, studying at the Peter Minturn Goldsmith School. Project commencement date: 22 January 2015 Project completion date: 27 March 2015 Topic: New Zealand’s first world war centenary In recognition of the WW1 Centenary students must respectfully design and hand make a medal that reflects on the contributions New Zealand made and by those who served Research must show an understanding of the topic and build on that legacy All research material used must be factual and presented with the design You may include NZ military history from your own family that is particular to WWI To aid the student in this project: Family records The following websites have comprehensive research material: ww100.govt.nz rsa.org.nz aucklandmueseum.com Design Parameters: All aspects of the design must conform to the parameters set and terms & conditions. These are available but are not delivered until the commencement of the new term in 2015.
