NZ'S FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY 2014–2019

Digitisation of Quick March magazine

Quick March was the official monthly publication of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association between 1918 and 1923. Auckland Libraries are digitising it to make it available online.

Quick March, v.4n.11 (10 March 1922)

Quick March contains important information about the lives of New Zealanders who served in the First World War.

Contents include political articles; advice on resettlement issues; short stories and jokes; war stories and reminiscences; cartoons; and advertising aimed at returned servicemen.

The New Zealand Returned Soldier's Association has generously permitted Auckland Libraries to digitise this important publication, and make it available online. The first volumes will be accessible on the website, 'Our Boys, Your Stories' (ourboys.recollect.co.nz). You can search by keyword and view every page.

The front covers provide additional insights - see the examples below or visit the website to see the selection from 1918 - 1923.
