An annual 2-day event in Cambridge to commemorate the November Armistice. This 10-11 November, 2018, see famous battle re-enactments, restored military vehicles, militaria for sale, the National Plastic Model champs and lectures on the First World War. One of the re-enactments is of the liberation of the French town of Le Quesnoy by Kiwi troops in November 1918.
This is an interactive event! Kids (of all ages) get to try out various military themed activities such as archery, rowing a navy cutter, fighting a mock battle in the First World War trench, making a plastic model aircraft and shooting airsoft guns. All such activities are either free or just a gold coin.
Entry is just $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under each day.
