Fort Takapuna First World War camp

The Auckland Heritage Festival 2014 aims to reinforce the contribution of heritage to the character and quality of Auckland’s places and landscapes. Historic societies and sites, museums, libraries and community groups hold events for the public to attend.

The First World War commemoration theme for 2014 is "Courage has many resting places". This could include, but is not limited to life on the home front; training, military service, or defence; the experience of going to war; organisations and businesses who supported or opposed the war effort

If you have a First World War event within the Auckland region and would like to be a part of the festival, email aucklandheritagefestival@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz to request an Expression of Interest form or follow the related link.
