Chunuk Bair Centennial Commemoration in Napier

Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Wellington Batallion capture of Chunuk Bair on Gallipoli on 8 August 1915. Events in Napier will include a service, beating retreat and military ball.

The Regimental Association of ‘ex’-soldiers supporting 5/7 Battalion will be marking the 100th anniversary of the battle of Chunuk Bair on 8 August with a commemorative service being held at the cenotaph in Clive Square at 11am. Other activities include a gathering of ex 7WnHB soldiers and the opening of a display of regimental history at the unit’s Faraday Street headquarters.
