NZ'S FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY 2014–2019

EOI for National War Memorial Park Education/ Interpretive Centre

16 November 2012

The WW100 Programme Office is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from companies or consortiums to develop a concept proposal to establish an Education/Interpretive centre, possibly with visitor facilities, near the National War Memorial Park being developed in Wellington.
The Education/Interpretive centre will provide education facilities to support the increasing numbers of schools and individual groups visiting the Park to learn more about New Zealand’s war history. The centre is a key legacy project from the First World War commemorations and has an estimated budget of up to $7 million.
The National War Memorial Park, the Government’s key project to commemorate the centenary of the First World War, will be completed in time for Anzac Day services in 2015 to mark 100 years since ANZAC troops landed on the beaches of Gallipoli. The centre is expected to take a little longer to complete.
The EOI request is available on the Government Electronic Tendering System, GETS. Responses close at 5pm on 30 November 2012.
