Creating mini video-documentaries featuring local people singing or reading pieces that recall the First World War, along with interpretive panels.
With Ōtaki-based Nimlin Productions, Kāpiti Coast District Libraries have produced series of videos featuring songs and poems relating to war and its effects.
The project involved volunteers from across Kāpiti, of diverse occupations, ages and backgrounds.
Participants included war veterans, people on the street, librarians, family groups and even our local mayor.
The videos will be released in April. They will be available to view online and at Kāpiti Coast District Library branches.
