"Music for War and Peace - The Great War Remembered"

The Graduate Choir NZ, under its conductor Terence Maskell, presents a programme of choral music in the Auckland War Memorial Museum's Sanctuary on 4 August 2014 at 7.30 pm. 

The Graduate Choir NZ at St Benedict's Church Newton, Auckland

The Graduate Choir NZ is one of the country's foremost mixed voice choirs. The programme for this concert consists of a wide range of choral compositions suitable for the occasion, including works by Parry, Gustav Holst, and David Hamilton, one of New Zealand's foremost choral composers. 

This performance is supported by the Auckland War Memorial Museum and the Returned Services Association. The choir will be conducted by its Director of music, Terence Maskell, and will be accompanied by Philip Smith, organist of Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, on a digital computer organ. The programme features Dame Malvina Major as guest artist. The music will be interspersed with readings and poetry from the wartime poets of the day.
