NZ'S FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY 2014–2019

No. 1 New Zealand General Hospital Centenary event - Brockenhurst

Celebrate and honour all who were connected to the New Zealand hospitals and the UK communities who do so much to remember them. 29 June 2016, 11.30 am, St Nicholas' Church, Brockenhurst.

June marks 100 years since the No.1 New Zealand General Hospital opened in the New Forest village of Brockenhurst.

The hospital was set up to care for New Zealand troops and auxiliary staff throughout the First World War. Three years later 21,000 patients had been treated here and a further 27,000 at the No.2 General Hospital in Walton on Thames.

Join us to celebrate and honour all who were connected to the hospital and the enduring bond between Brockenhurst and New Zealand. St Nicholas' Church graveyard, Brockenhurst 11:30am, Wed June 29 2016.
