The New Zealand War Graves Project

The New Zealand War Graves Trust, in association with the Auckland War Memorial Museum are creating a photographic archive of the war graves of all New Zealanders from 1899 to the present day.

Sgt. Dave Gallaher, All Black Captain, Nine Elms Cemetery, Belgium

The New Zealand War Graves Project is photographing the grave or primary memorial of every New Zealander that died in conflict between 1899 and the present day. We are also researching to discover all New Zealanders that served with allied forces. To date, we have the photographs of more than 30,000 Kiwis, including virtually all the the First World War casualties in France. Completing photos of the World War I casualties in Palestine is a priority for 2015.
Our web site, www.nzwargraves.org.nz, can be viewed without cost, pictures downloaded and the public can add relevant pictures and information to the site.
