Marking the Defence Force rugby team's visit to Belgium, a memorial service to the most famous All Black to have died in the war – Dave Gallaher – will be held on 4 October 2015.
On 29 September 2015 the NZDF's rugby team, the Defence Blacks, plays a commemorative match against a French selection in Paris.
On 3 October 2015 the NZDF's rugby team, the Defence Blacks, will play a one-off match in the Dave Gallaher Memorial Tournament against the Belgium national team in Zonnebeke, Belgium.
To commemorate Anzac Day, the Chiefs' match against the Force at Waikato Stadium on 24 April 2015 will feature a moving tribute to those soldiers who fought in the First World War.
